About the Lecture:
The lecture explores the interplay between protecting human rights and combating international terrorism within the framework of the international criminal justice system. It examines how counterterrorism measures impact fundamental rights, the role of international institutions (e.g., ICC, UN) in addressing terrorism-related crimes, and the challenges of ensuring justice for victims while upholding international human rights norms. The research also investigates jurisdictional complexities, the use of forensic evidence, and global cooperation mechanisms to address terrorism in a rights-respecting manner.


Reema BhattacharyaReema Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, Law, at Jagannath University, NCR, since 2018. She has completed her LLM in Corporate Law as her Specialized Area from Department of Law, Kurukshetra University, Haryana and currently a Ph.D. Research Scholar at Amity Law school, Noida, Amity University. She has also completed Her 3 years LLB from IME Law College, and prior to that completed BA(H) Political Science from Gargi College, University of Delhi and has also completed Master's (M.A) in Public Administration.

She has achieved several recognitions and Won Best Presentation Award at 3rd International Conference, held at Galgotia's University, Noida , Best presentation Award at 3rd World Conference on Human Rights and Intellectual Property Rights held at ILI , New Delhi, and Best presentation Award at International Conference organised by Knowledge steez in collaboration with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris & has also won Young Academic Excellence Award, 2019 at National Award and Symposium, held at Allahabad. She has also appeared as one of the Panel Judge at International & National Moot Court Competitions organized by DME law College, Noida & Bharti Vidyapeeth University, Paschim Vihar, Delhi.

She is tremendously engaged with sports in her lifetime and represented in National Volleyball tournaments and has secured 1st position & Gold Medal in All India Volley Tournament and 3rd position in Delhi University's Annual sports Meet.

She has published 9 Research articles in various SCOPUS, Web of Science & UGC – CARE Journals, and has presented 29 Research Articles in various International & National Conferences and Seminars and also contributed in 7 book chapters.
